FR/ Premier opus d’une série à compléter au fil des rencontres et des affinités musicales, le split-vinyl « Half Asleep-Srx » se conçoit comme une double porte sur l’univers du song-writing au féminin.
Côté face les sœurs Leclercq aux commandes d’Half-Asleep explorent de nouvelles voies mélancoliques et lancinantes, oscillant entre la réinterprétation (Cold Water, Hot Water est une relecture de Half-Sailor) et l’improvisation autour d’une structure mélodique existante (Hell, Bell ; Nowhere, Somewhere).
Côté pile, Sandra Reignoux exploite les possibilités des enregistrements maison avec une naïveté et une douceur désarmantes (You), sifflant (Silly Whistle) et chuchotant, sans toutefois négliger de faire enfler la distorsion et de laisser libre cours à sa personnalité anti-conformiste (Regular).
Afin de réunir les deux vocalistes dans un écrin commun, l’illustratrice Gwenola Carrère a conçu une pochette foisonnante et enfantine, réalisée ensuite en sérigraphie pour les 150 premiers exemplaires.

Side A : Young belgian Valérie Leclercq (23) and his litlle sister Oriane (20) performing as under the name of Half-Asleep. This time, they’ve decided to explore new melancholic and throbbing ways, oscillating between the reinterpretation (Cold Water, Hot Water is a second reading of Half-Sailor, song available on ‘Just before We Learned to Swim’) and the improvisation around an existing melody structure (Hell, Bell; Nowhere, Somewhere).
Side B, Sandra Reignoux aka SRX (France) exploits the possibilities of home recordings with disarming naivety and softness (You), whistling (Silly Whistle) and whispering, without neglecting to make swell the distortion and to leave free course to its anticonformist personality (Regular). In order to join together the two girls in a common design, Gwenola Carrère, young belgian illustrator designed a plentiful and childish cover.
